Israel allegedly strikes a Syrian military installation in Damascus

Reports emerged from Syria early this morning saying, “a Syrian military installation near the Damascus International Airport was targeted by missiles,” in what sources affiliated with the Syrian regime claimed Israel was behind the attack. The missiles attack, which according to reports was an airstrike carried out from outside the Syrian airspace, targeted an area that was attacked in the past by the Israeli air force as part of its ongoing declared efforts to thwart Iranian shipments of sophisticated weapons from reaching the Shi’ite militia Hezbollah in Lebanon. According to the reports, two missiles were fired at the Syrian target, causing extensive damage, yet no casualties were reported in this attack.
