Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met at his residence in Jerusalem with a delegation of former American Football players, all of whom are members of the Hall of Fame, during which the Israeli leader stressed that in order for Israel to achieve true peace in the Middle East, the Jewish state must show no weakness, as in this chaotic region, only the strong are permitted to live in peace and security.
“You seek peace but you got to be strong. if you’re not strong you will never get peace and if you’re not strong you will be in war and turmoil and the worst thing is, you’ll lose. So, I’m sure that when you prepare for your games, you don’t say well do I need to be strong, fast, nimble? Is that a question? No, your game is not different from ours, the only difference is, if we lose the consequences are… immutable. And we’ve had enough of that in our history. So, we won’t let that happen again.”
