Israel’s Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman, during a conference on Strategic Affairs in the Netanya Academic college, warned that “Israel is about to face an offensive by the European Union.”
The Israeli top defense official stressed that he believes the offensive would happen toward the end of the year, once the continent concludes the elections period for many of the EU member states.” Lieberman did not elaborate on what kind of offensive the European Union was formulating, but stressed that the situation is ‘volatile’.
