Iran condemns U.S. for growing sanctions regime

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif lashed out over the latest U.S. sanctions against his country, calling them ‘an impediment to humanitarian trade,’ while accusing the Trump administration for what he claimed was a continued “disregard for rule of law and human rights and an entire people.” In response to the Iranian condemnation, a U.S. diplomat told TV7 that while “the Ayatollah regime condemned the sanctions as unjjuhust, the fact of the matter remains: all of those targeted by the U.S. Treasury have links to Iran’s Basij militia,” which is one of the five forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Cops, an international recognized terror organization responsible for much of the Iranian-sponsored chaos across the Middle East.

Meanwhile at the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump said that his Administration was effectively stopping Iran, after his decision to pull out of the 2015 nuclear agreement, that was formulated under the Obama Administration. In President Trump’s words, “We are stopping Iran — we’re not trying to stop — we’re stopping Iran. We won a big step what we took away that ridiculous deal that was made by the previous administration: the Iran deal, which was 150 billion dollars; at one point, eight billion in cash. What was that all about?” On the 4th of November the United States will impose another series of sanctions against the Islamic Republic, this time against its oil and banking sectors. While Tehran continues to reject any amendments to its nuclear program, Washington says that unless Iran changes its behavior, the pressure will continue to mount.
