Israeli provides Russian PM with an agricultural drone, raising US concerns

During a visit to Israel last week, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev conducted a tour of the institute where he was shown several agricultural developments and projects on which the researchers have been working. One of the items shown to the Russian premier was a drone used for irrigation research purposes. When the Russian leader showed great interest in the drone, Israeli Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel decided to provide Medvedev with a drone as a gift. In response to the incident, the United States Embassy in Israel demanded information from the Israeli authorities to determine whether there was American technology in the drone. A senior American source told TV7 that the drone in question has undergone special enhancement and is equipped with unique technology, some of which may have American made components desired by Russia.
