Japan won’t relocate embassy in Israel to Jerusalem

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met today with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

The meeting with Netanyahu came after the Japanese leader met last night in Ramallah with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, during which he promised him that Japan would not move its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

Nevertheless, the meeting today between Netanyahu and his counterpart Abe were referred to as “warm and friendly,” as the two leaders seek to bolster relations between Tokyo and Jerusalem.
