Netanyahu: Israel willing to change attitude toward Iran if Tehran changes its policy

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu concluded an official state visit to Kazakhstan, a first such visit by an Israeli Prime Minister in history.

During a meeting between Prime Minister Netanyahu and Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who has been the country’s ruler for the past 26 years, the Kazakh leader informed Netanyahu that Iranian supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is due to visit his country, and asked whether he wished to deliver a message to him. Netanyahu asked President Nazarbayev to inquire with the Iranian leader as to why the Islamic Republic continues to threaten Israel with annihilation, while warning that those who threaten Israel put themselves in great danger.

Netanyahu stressed, however, that if Iran would change its policy with regard to Israel, the Jewish state will change its policy toward Iran. Nevertheless, Netanyahu said he believes the Iranian leaders will continue their policy of promises to annihilate the Jewish state. Netanyahu also took the opportunity to emphasize the improving relations between Israel and its Muslim-Arab neighbors, many of which are staunch-rivals of the Islamic Republic that see eye-to-eye with the Jewish state, as to the immense danger Tehran poses to regional stability. “Our relations with our Muslim Arab neighborhoods is changing dramatically not all of it is public some of it is but it’s changing dramatically and I view the relations with Kazakhstan has been part of this great change that the world is waiting for,” Netanyahu said.
