PM Netanyahu calls president elect Macron to congratulate him on his victory

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a phone conversation last night with French President-elect Emmanuel Macron, during which the Israeli leader congratulated Macron on his victory. The Prime Minister’s office said that the two leaders discussed, inter alia, further French-Israeli cooperation on counterterrorism and promoting bilateral economic and technological ties.
Netanyahu and Macron also agreed to meet soon for direct talks that would focus on bolstering the strong relations between Paris and Jerusalem.
