Thousands of ultra-orthodox Jews clash with police across the Jewish State

Thousands of ultra-orthodox Jews clashed with police in several locations across the Jewish state, including in Jerusalem and the central Israeli city of Bnei Brak. In an effort to disperse the protest, riot police used crowd dispersal means, including mounted officers and water cannons. The ultra-Orthodox protesters carried signs rejecting the Israeli military and any form of conscription to it. The protesters chanted different slogans, including an assertion that the study of the Torah and rabbinic rulings is vital for the continued survival of the Jewish people.
