Three separate infiltration attempts from Gaza into Israel

Three separate incidents were reported on Saturday and Sunday, in which Palestinian Islamists attempted to break through the security fence from Gaza into Israel. The first incident was reported on Saturday, during which four Palestinians that according to the IDF were “armed with a knife and an ax,” tried to breach the border, located less than a mile away from an Israeli village. IDF troops successfully apprehended the suspects, who were transferred to the Israel Security Agency for further questioning. In the second and third incidents that were reported yesterday, three Palestinian Islamists attempted to infiltrate the Jewish state. During the second incident, IDF troops arrived at the scene and apprehended the suspects, who had several knives in their possession; while the third incident, IDF troops opened fire at the suspect before he managed to infiltrate into Israel. As a result of the gunfire, the fourth Palestinian suspect was injured and evacuated by IDF troops to an Israeli medical center for treatment. Nevertheless, upon arrival at the hospital, the suspect succumbed to his wounds.
