Iran-Syria urge for boost in bilateral trade

Iranian Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade Reza Rahmani stressed the need for promoting the Islamic Republic’s trade relations with Syria and highlighted the significance of boosting cooperation between the two countries that presents ‘limitless opportunity’.

Minister Rahmani made those remarks during a meeting with a Syrian business delegation, headed by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of the Syrian District of Homs. The meeting came just several weeks after Tehran and Damascus signed a series of bilateral economic agreements – as both countries are challenged by tough international sanctions imposed – among others – by the United States.
