First Israeli defense exhibit opens in Abu Dhabi

The event marks the introductory presentation of  Israeli technologies at Abu Dhabi‘s “IDEX” defense exhibition.

The Israel Ministry of Defense (IMoD) inaugurated the national pavilion, said the IMoD’s Spokesperson in a statement obtained by TV7, “as part of joint efforts to strengthen defense relations with the Abraham Accords countries, the Ministry’s International Defense Cooperation Directorate (SIBAT), the Israel Ministry of Defense’s International Defense Cooperation Directorate, is leading the delegation of Israeli defense industries participating in the event.”

SIBAT Director Brigadier General (Ret.) Yair Kulas presided over the opening, along with other senior Israeli officials.

“The inauguration of the Israeli national pavilion in Abu Dhabi is an important milestone in deepening our highly esteemed defense partnership with the United Arab Emirates (UAE). As our defense relations continue to expand, we are proud to present and share the innovative technologies and systems developed and created by Israeli defense industries and the Israel Ministry of Defense,” said Gen. Kulas, adding, “We plan to hold multiple meetings during the exhibition to discuss new areas of collaboration and are looking forward to bolstering future cooperation with our partners in the UAE.”

Over 30 leading Israeli defense industries are displaying their technological solutions at the exhibition. Some of the technologies include air defense systems, rocket and missile systems, unmanned aerial systems, artificial intelligence, electro-optical systems, cyber solutions and more, said the IMoD statement.

Companies participating in the national pavilion include Aerodan Systems, Aitech Systems, Beth-el Industries, Bird Aerosystems, Controp Precision Technologies, Copterpix, Dagan-Optics, Edgy Bees, Elbit Systems, Emtan-Israel Small Arms Industry, Fibrotex, Gate Technologies, Gilat Telecom, Hagor Industries, Heven Drones, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), Magam Safety, Nimda Co, Omnisys, Ophir Optronics Solutions, Orbit Communication Systems, Plasan Sasa, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, Reshet Graf, RT LTA Systems, SCD – Semi Conductor Services, SDK Embedded Systems, SK Group, Smart Shooter, Spearuav, Steadicopter, Thermal Beacon, Tomer, Uvision Air, Vidisco, and YTS Systems.
