Gazan Islamists Persist in Cross-Border Infiltration Attempts

Now to Israel’s southern frontier, where;

A Palestinian Islamist managed to cross the security fence on the southern part of the Gaza Strip. Shortly thereafter, IDF troops deployed to the area apprehended the suspect. The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit revealed that two bullets and a knife were found in the suspect’s possession. He was transferred to Israel’s Shin Bet security agency for questioning.

Earlier in the day, two unmanned aerial vehicles were spotted hovering over the border security fence in the Gaza Strip. After a few moments, the drones returned to Gazan airspace. No additional detailed were available, and the IDF spokesperson’s unit did not respond to TV7’s request for comment.

Meanwhile in a related matter, two fires broke-out in the Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council near the border with Gaza, as a result of incendiary balloons that were flown from the Hamas-controlled enclave. Israel’s Fire and Rescue Services that arrived at the scene managed to control both blazes and successfully extinguished them shortly thereafter. No injuries were reported.
