Palestinians continue to protest against US’ recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital

Palestinians continue to protest against US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. In Gaza city hundreds of masked women marched with weapons in hand and held signs reading that they are willing to sacrifice themselves for the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. On the outskirts of the West Bank city of Ramallah, several dozens of Palestinians hurled rocks and burning tires at Israeli border-police forces, who responded with crowd dispersal means. In Jerusalem, some Palestinian activists gathered outside the US consulate, saying they have come with a message to the United States, that Jerusalem will always remain part of a Palestinian state.

While protesters continue to flood the streets to voice their anger of Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, Israeli security officials have told to TV7 that the street protests have largely died down, and assessed that the situation will continue to alleviate, especially when the land will be blessed with rain.
