Yair’s joyous Hanukah return – Behind the Scenes at TV7

Vice President of Operations Yair Pinto made a triumphant return to our Jerusalem bureau this week, making his first appearance in person since undergoing leg surgery almost two weeks ago. Yair stayed just long enough to light candles for celebration of Hanukah and to Co-Host TV7’s Editor’s Note before resuming recuperation at home.  The entire team was cheered by progress toward his eventual return to work in the office full time.

This was the highlight of our week, which also saw the dedicated recording, editing and preparation of daily news and special feature programs for our viewers.

The latest episode of Jerusalem Studio focused on a status update on the renewed nuclear negotiations between Iran and the P5+1 nations in Vienna.  TV7 CEO and Editor-in-Chief Jonathan Hessen and Amir Oren, Editor-at-large and host of Watchmen Talk and Powers in Play, led discussion with regular guest Dr. Olli Heinonen, the former Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency and Senior Fellow at the Stimson Center think tank in Washington, D.C. along with former Israeli Ambassador to Germany Shimon Stein, a Senior Fellow at Tel Aviv’s Institute for National Security and Strategy.

The fascination analysis on the complex issues dominating the nuclear talks and predictions over likely outcomes can be seen on TV7 Israel’s YouTube channel, starting at 9:15 PM on 3 December local time.

Former commander of the Tel Nof Israeli Air Force base, Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Relik Shafir and former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Brig. Gen. (Ret) Mark Kimmitt will appear as panelists on the upcoming episode of Jerusalem Studio set for broadcast on 7 December, to offer insight on the increasing use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs or drones) in the Middle East for targeted strikes, reconnaissance and other objectives.

The TV7 crew would like to thank our loyal viewers for their continued support, as well as prayers for Yair’s full recovery.

Thank you for reading, and we look forward to another week of serving you. Season’s Greetings!
