Hezbollah boasts in capability to infiltrate Israel

The Secretary General of the Lebanese Iranian-proxy Hezbollah, Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, boasted over his organization’s capabilities to infiltrate Israel, despite six cross-border attack tunnels that were discovered and destroyed by the Israeli Defense Forces. In a televised address to thousands of his organization’s supporters in Beirut, Nasrallah claimed that Hezbollah has the upper hand when it comes to deterring Israel from acting against Lebanon.

He further claimed that Hezbollah’s foundation of resistance “lies in its (Islamic) faith and spirit, (rather than) weapons and financial capacities,” as was the case in “Syria and Iraq.” Nasrallah further claimed that Israelis were concerned by the IDF’s operational abilities, after the 2006 second Lebanon war and the 2014 Gaza conflict, in which – according to the Iranian-backed leader, “the Israeli army’s ground forces, its officers, warriors and “chariots” sustained heavy losses,” and both civilian and the military of the Jewish state sustained “severe mental shock.”

In response to the belligerent speech by the Hezbollah Secretary General, the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesperson Avichay Adraee released a statement, in which he wrote: “Nasrallah said Israel is deterred while speaking from his hiding place. Look at his picture and decide who’s scared.”
