Police thwart West Bank terror attack

Israeli police forces have foiled an alleged attempt to carry out a stabbing-terror-attack last night, at the Almog intersection not far from the Dead Sea. Civilians called the police after noticing a Palestinian man who struck them as suspicious. The arriving officers searched the suspect and uncovered a knife and a handheld transceiver in his possession, before making the arrest.

According to the Police spokesperson’s unit, the suspect – a 30-year-old Palestinian from the city of Nablus – was transferred to the security agency, Shin Bet, for questioning.
