Islamists continue to send explosive and arson balloons from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip into southern Israel.
Dozens of airborne incendiary devices were flown, sparking numerous fires in wild forests and agricultural fields. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
In response, IDF fighter jets, attack helicopters and tanks retaliated with strikes on a number of Hamas military targets in the Gaza Strip.
According to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, “a post belonging to the Hamas aerial defense array as well as underground infrastructures and observation posts… were struck.”
The IDF once again reiterated that it “views any terror activity against Israel with great severity,” while further emphasizing that it “will continue operating as necessary against attempts to harm Israeli civilians.”
